Pervert Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Stockton Sex Attack

George Reeves, 26, of Whitby, was sentenced to two years in prison at Bradford Crown Court on Friday for assaulting a woman in Stockton.

Reeves had pleaded not guilty to "assault by penetration" but was convicted following a trial. The charge stated that the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, "did not consent and the defendant did not reasonably believe that she was consenting."

Reeves, of Rosedale Close, listened on videolink from Durham Prison as the case was outlined by prosecutor Ian West. He appeared to be sobbing as the offence details were heard in court.

In addition to the prison sentence, Reeves was also made subject of sex offender notification requirements for ten years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge.
