Man Jailed for Raping Sleeping Teenager

Jarrett Good, aged 22, of Murcott Road, Upper Arncott, Bicester, has been sentenced to three years and six months' imprisonment for raping a sleeping teenager in 2019.

Good was found guilty of one count of rape by a jury at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday, July 5th, following a three-day trial.

The incident occurred on December 29, 2019, at around 8am. Good raped the victim, a girl in her teens, while she was asleep.

He was arrested on December 31, 2019, and charged on June 28, 2022.

Detective Constable Sam Hunter of the Child Abuse and Investigation Unit, who investigated the case, praised the victim's bravery in coming forward and commended the work of the investigation team.

"Good has been brought to justice for his crime," said Detective Constable Hunter. "I hope that this case demonstrates to other people who may have been the victim of such offending that it is never too late to come forward and talk to the police. We will listen to you, investigate and do everything that we can to ensure criminals like Good are brought to justice."
