Man Sentenced to 16 Years for Sexual Offenses Against Girl

John Anthony Searle, 48, of Bay Road in Bracknell, has been sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment following his conviction on a number of non-recent sexual offences against a girl.

Searle was found guilty by a jury of one count of rape of a girl under 13 and two counts of sexual assault of a girl under 13.

The offences occurred over a two-year period, during which Searle repeatedly assaulted his victim.

In addition to the prison sentence, Searle will have to sign the sex offenders register for life and has been made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
