A voyeurism addict was sentenced to prison after secretly filming women and girls for over a decade.

John Berry, 36, was found guilty of voyeurism, producing indecent images of children, and possessing indecent images of children.

The court heard how Berry had hidden cameras in his home and a friend's property to secretly film women and girls without their knowledge.

He also used a spy camera in a USB stick to film a woman while she performed a sex act on him and filmed up an underage girl's skirt on a bus.

Berry admitted to police that he was addicted to taking videos of unsuspecting people and that he needed to be punished.

Digital forensics officers found folders of images and videos relating to five women and girls, some taken up to a decade before.

They also uncovered 150 indecent images in category A, 100 in category B, and more than 2,700 in category C, including 83 videos in the most serious category A, which includes depictions of child rape.

Berry was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison.

The judge, Peter Crabtree, said the offences were so serious that only immediate imprisonment would do justice to the case.

Berry was also ordered to register as a sex offender and remain subject to a sexual harm prevention order for life.
