Man Ordered to Sign Sex Offenders Register After Assaulting Two Women

Kouros Hassanzadeh, 28, has been ordered to sign the sex offenders' register after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault.

The first assault occurred on May 2 in Asda on Allensway, Thornaby. Hassanzadeh approached a woman browsing in the aisles and grabbed her bottom. He then followed her and touched her again before being escorted out of the store by security.

Two days later, on May 4, Hassanzadeh assaulted a female jogger in an alleyway. He grabbed her bottom and told her, "With an a*** that looks that nice you have to grab it." He then asked for a kiss before promising to leave her alone.

Hassanzadeh has no previous convictions and has mental health issues. He was sentenced to an 18-month community order with an accredited Horizon programme designed for men with a high risk of re-offending. He was also ordered to carry out 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay costs of £180.

In addition to the community order, Hassanzadeh will be on the sex offenders' register for the next five years.
