Man Jailed for Filming Underage Girl Having Sex

Kyle McGhee, a 20-year-old from Minstead, was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, after pleading guilty to taking an indecent photograph of a child.

The court heard that McGhee filmed a 15-year-old girl having sex and subsequently showed the video to four people, claiming "She was loving it and it was just a laugh. It was one of my idiot moments."

The incident occurred in Romsey on July 1, 2018, and the girl later requested that McGhee delete the footage.

McGhee's defense argued that his cognitive abilities were impacted by foetal drug syndrome and that he was immature at the time of the offense.

The court considered his previous convictions, which included three counts of assault by beating, one count of using threatening and abusive language, and drug and driving convictions.

Judge Nicholas Rowland sentenced McGhee to 40 days of rehabilitation activities and 150 hours of unpaid work in addition to the suspended prison sentence.
