Repeat sex-offender saw a teenage girl despite an order against him.

Repeat Sex Offender Jailed for Breaching Order

A repeat sex offender, Malak Siftul-Hassan (32), has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for breaching his Sexual Risk Order.

The order, imposed to prevent him from engaging with minors, prohibited him from being in the company of anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian and from communicating with a specific 16-year-old girl.

On Friday, March 8, Siftul-Hassan, of no fixed address, was spotted with the named teenage girl in Crawley town centre. He was arrested the following evening and a subsequent search of his phone revealed communication with the girl earlier that month.

Siftul-Hassan was charged and convicted of breaching his Sexual Risk Order twice. He was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court.

Detective Inspector Darren Taylor stated: "Sussex Police is dedicated to protecting our communities from sexual offenses and will utilize all available resources to restrict offenders' ability to re-offend and ensure they are held accountable for their crimes."

"Malak Siftul-Hassan repeatedly violated a court order designed to safeguard a vulnerable child he targeted multiple times. He has now been incarcerated where he can no longer pose a threat to her or any other member of the public."

"This serves as a clear message to other offenders that we will relentlessly pursue and hold them responsible for their actions."
