Mansoor Ahmed Jailed for Sexual Assaults on London Underground

A man who sexually assaulted two women on the London Underground has been jailed following a British Transport Police investigation. Mansoor Ahmed, 30, was sentenced to 26 months in prison and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual assault.

The court heard that on September 6, 2020, a victim was sexually assaulted by Ahmed while walking up the stairs at Gloucester Road underground station. The victim screamed, and Ahmed fled the scene. She reported the incident the following day.

Following a public appeal, Ahmed was identified and sought for questioning. On November 20, 2020, a second woman was sexually assaulted by Ahmed while traveling down the steps at Charing Cross Station. Ahmed walked away, but the victim spotted British Transport Police officers at the station and reported the incident.

Ahmed was subsequently detained and arrested. He was released under investigation while inquiries continued. The two incidents were linked, but attempts to locate Ahmed were unsuccessful until May 27, 2021, when he was found on a ferry arriving at Holyhead from Ireland and arrested.

Ahmed, of Stephenson Street, Riverside, Cardiff, admitted the charges and was sentenced on January 21, 2025, at Cardiff Crown Court.
