A man from Liverpool has been jailed for possessing indecent images of children and upskirting videos.

Mark Harrison, 63, of Sheil Road, Kensington, was sentenced to two years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court on February 3rd. He pleaded guilty to six charges relating to the possession of indecent photographs of children, which were categorized as A, B, and C in terms of severity. Additionally, he admitted to five counts of recording images under clothing without consent (upskirting) and one charge of possessing extreme pornographic images.

Harrison's arrest came after officers executed a warrant at his home in March 2022, seizing digital devices for forensic examination following intelligence received.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Atkinson stated: "We have a duty to protect our communities from harm and to deter individuals from committing these types of horrific offences. We will continue to seek to identify and convict those who engage in this behavior." He added, "I hope this sentencing encourages anyone who has been a victim of any sexual offence to please contact us. We have a specialist team ready to treat you with respect, care, and compassion and make sure that reports are properly and thoroughly investigated."
