Michael Dyos Sentenced for Child Sex Offences

A man has been sentenced to over two years in prison for sexual offences involving children online. Michael Dyos, 59, of College Road, Southwater, West Sussex, was jailed for a total of two years and six months on Monday, March 17th, following a hearing at Lewes Crown Court.

Dyos pleaded guilty to one count of arranging/facilitating the offence of causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. On July 8th, 2023, Dyos drove from Southwater, near Horsham, to Littlehampton to meet with someone he believed was a 13-year-old child, having previously engaged in sexually explicit online conversations.

Upon arriving in Littlehampton, Dyos was met by police officers and arrested. He was subsequently charged on July 9th, 2023. Dyos's existing Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which was in place prior to these offences, remains active until April 2031.
