Michael John Edward Bunker Sentenced for Child Abuse Imagery Possession

Michael John Edward Bunker, 57, of Leigh Road, Eastleigh, was sentenced at Southampton Crown Court for possessing and making indecent images of children.

Bunker was found to have 11,710 still images and 427 video clips of children, ranging in severity from category A (the most serious) to category C.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of children and one count of possessing indecent photographs of a child, relating to offenses committed between 2018 and 2020.

The court sentenced Bunker to two years in prison, suspended for 24 months. He was also ordered to complete 40 rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours of unpaid work.

As part of his sentence, Bunker was made subject to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order and must register as a sex offender for the same period.
