Paedophile who paid for Filipino child sex abuse shows.
Paedophile Faces Years Behind Bars for Child Sex Abuse
Mukhesh Bharti, 46, a self-proclaimed hospital "research doctor," was convicted of multiple charges related to child sex abuse, including making indecent images of children, inciting sexual exploitation, and arranging travel for child sexual exploitation.
Bharti, who paid the equivalent of £100 for live child sex abuse shows, attempted to blame a friend he claimed was a drug-dealing blackmailer for the sickening content found on his phone. However, a jury rejected this claim, finding that Bharti was directly responsible for arranging and participating in the live shows.
The jury deliberated for approximately 140 minutes before reaching unanimous guilty verdicts on six counts of making indecent images of children, six counts of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, one count of arranging travel of another person with a view to their sexual exploitation, and one count of possession of a prohibited image of a child.
Judge Nigel Daly adjourned sentencing until October 23, ordering a pre-sentence report to assess Bharti's risk level. "He's going to get a substantial custodial sentence for this," the judge stated.
Bharti, from Overmead, Abingdon, was remanded in custody pending sentencing.
