Natalie Arroyo, a 33-year-old former supply teacher, has been jailed for sending explicit photos and videos to a 15-year-old boy on Snapchat.

Arroyo groomed the vulnerable teenager by initiating inappropriate conversations, sending sexually suggestive messages, and ultimately requesting a sexual encounter. She told him she "bet all the boys fancy me" and sent pictures of her breasts while asking for explicit photos from him.

The court heard that Arroyo also discussed leaving her husband for the victim, claiming she didn't have a "gag reflex" and wanted to perform oral sex on him. Despite the boy expressing his unwillingness to engage in sexual activity, Arroyo persisted in sending explicit content, including a video of herself performing a sex act.

The abuse came to light when the victim confided in another adult, leading to Arroyo's arrest. While initially denying contact with the boy, she later admitted to sending the messages but claimed to believe he was 16 years old.

Arroyo pleaded guilty to two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

During sentencing, Judge Eugene Egan stated that Arroyo displayed "guile and cunning" in manipulating the vulnerable teenager. He rejected the defense's description of her actions as a "moment of madness," highlighting her attempts to blame the victim and lack of remorse.

Arroyo was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment, subject to sex offender notification requirements and a restraining order indefinitely.
