Teenager Jailed for Raping Two 16-Year-Old Girls

A "warped" teenager, Nathan John, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping two 16-year-old girls who were walking home at night. The attacks occurred 19 months and ten miles apart in Milford Haven and Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

John was found guilty of three counts of rape and sexual assault at Swansea Crown Court. The court heard that John launched a "frenzy of sexual violence" after the girls rejected his advances. He denied both rapes but was convicted based on the striking similarities between the assaults.

Prosecutor James Hartson described John as someone who "doesn't take no for an answer" and highlighted the vulnerability of the victims who were isolated and alone. Judge Huw Rees emphasized the seriousness of John's offenses, stating that he posed a danger to young girls and women due to his warped interest in sex.

John was sentenced to 16 years in custody in a young offenders institute followed by four years on licence. He must register as a sex offender for life and both victims were granted lifelong restraining orders against him.
