Sexually assaulted girls and a woman in a string of terrifying attacks during the school run.

Ex-William Hill Manager Sentenced for Multiple Sexual Assaults

A 46-year-old former William Hill manager, identified as Jarvis, has been sentenced to 32 months in prison for a series of sexual assaults, including targeting a 14-year-old school girl and a four-year-old girl.

Canterbury Crown Court heard how Jarvis had a pattern of lurking around bus stops and approaching his victims. In July, he touched a teenage girl's thigh in front of other children while under the influence of alcohol. After being released pending further investigation, he assaulted a woman in her 40s, grabbing her waist and breasts.

Jarvis's victims described the profound impact of the assaults on their lives. The 14-year-old victim said, "People tell me [the assault] was one chance in a million but it did happen to me and I feel it could happen again." The woman in her 40s called the abuse "nightmare-inducing and terrifying," prompting her to be constantly on edge.

The four-year-old girl's mother revealed that her daughter, once bubbly, now suffers panic attacks and is scared of men who talk to her. She added, "[She is] scared of men who talk to her - unable to go close to family members."

Judge Recorder Trimmer QC described Jarvis's actions as "dangerous and concerning incidents of sexual assaults." He acknowledged Jarvis's history of head trauma and alcohol abuse, which contributed to his mental health issues, but emphasized the seriousness of his crimes.

Jarvis pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and sexual assault of a child under 13. He will be placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years and subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

Kent Police Investigating Officer PC Sonja Lupton stated, "Every woman and girl has a right to feel safe in the communities in which they live and that is why tackling violence against women and girls is a priority for Kent Police." She stressed the abhorrent nature of Jarvis's actions and encouraged other victims to report similar incidents.
