Patryk Kantor, a 25-year-old man, traveled 120 miles to meet a young girl in a park near her home. He then took her to an Air BnB.

During their online conversations, Kantor had falsely claimed to be 17 years old. The girl's mother became concerned about some of her daughter's comments and alerted the police.

Kantor was arrested on March 28, 2024, two days after the initial police call. He was identified and apprehended through CCTV footage and automatic number-plate recognition checks on his vehicle.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, causing and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and meeting a child after grooming.

On Friday, June 14, Kantor was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court to five years imprisonment. He is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must register as a Sex Offender for life.
