Isle of Wight Paedophile Jailed for Deleting Evidence

A paedophile from the Isle of Wight has been imprisoned after violating his court order by deleting Snapchat messages and explicit photos of an American schoolgirl from his phone and computer. Paul Norman, 65, residing at The Rogers in Shanklin, appeared before the IW Crown Court for sentencing following his admission to breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The court revealed that Norman is a registered sex offender with convictions for sex offences dating back to 2006 and 2022. His most recent conviction stemmed from possession of extreme obscene images of young children and bestiality, leading to a two-year suspended sentence.

As part of his order, Norman was prohibited from deleting the history on his electronic devices. This violation resulted in his imprisonment for breaching the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
