Swansea Man Jailed for Child Sex Offences

A Swansea man, Phillip Bowler (34), has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for a series of child sex offences.

Bowler, from Mount Pleasant, engaged in sexually explicit online communication with a child, arranging a meeting to pressure them into deleting the messages. During the meeting, he inappropriately touched the victim.

Following the initial contact, Bowler continued to send messages, actively attempting to incite the child into sexual activity. He also sent the victim a sexually explicit video of himself.

Bowler's offences included engaging in sexual communications with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and arranging/facilitating child sexual offences.

He will be registered as a sex offender for life.
