Robert Gunner Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Sex Crimes
A sex offender from Faversham, Kent, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for committing multiple crimes against children.
Robert Gunner, 42, of Field End Place, was convicted after an investigation by Kent Police following allegations that he targeted victims between 2014 and 2017. He was arrested in June 2022, and officers seized his laptop and mobile phone.
Analysis of the devices revealed 226 illegal images of children, including 27 categorized as the most serious, along with eight extreme pornographic images. Gunner pleaded guilty to charges of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, making indecent photographs of children, causing a child to watch a sexual act, and possessing an extreme pornographic image.
On November 28, 2024, at Maidstone Crown Court, Gunner was sentenced to seven years imprisonment. The judge deemed him a dangerous offender posing a serious risk to children. Upon release, he will remain under license for an extended period of three years.
In addition to his prison sentence, Gunner was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 20 years and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
