Pensioner Claims War Film Download Led to Indecent Image

A pensioner caught with an indecent image of a young girl on his laptop has claimed he was downloading old war films when the image appeared on his device.

Ronald Singer, appearing in Aberdeen Sheriff Court, admitted that he did not delete the category C image from his laptop.

Police searched his device and subsequently arrested him.

The court heard that Singer, despite seeing the image, did not attempt to remove it.
