Paedophile tried to hide a mobile phone containing indecent images of children in the sunroof of his car.

A paedophile has been jailed for hiding a mobile phone containing indecent images of children in the sunroof of his car.

Officers visited Roy Seymour-Morris' house on March 27th, finding him at the gym. As he pulled up, officers noticed him placing a phone in the sunroof after putting his hand towards it.

The visit was prompted by the discovery that Seymour-Morris' IP address had been used to upload illicit images of children. Upon seizing the phone, officers found three Category A videos (the most severe) and three Category C indecent images.

Seymour-Morris, 62, was also in violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) issued after his conviction for indecent image offences at Guildford Crown Court in April 2018. He had failed to notify officers of a new phone, preventing them from installing monitoring software.

On August 3rd, at Peterborough Crown Court, Seymour-Morris, of Sandbank, Wisbech St Mary, was sentenced to one year and eight months imprisonment after pleading guilty to distributing an indecent photograph of a child, breaching an SHPO, and two counts of making indecent photographs of a child.

DC Claire Cummings stated, "Seymour-Morris knew his actions were illegal, so I am pleased he has faced justice."
