Steroid-using sex offender groped young girls at bus stops.

Samuel Frost, a 37-year-old man with a history of sexual offenses against children, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for assaulting two young girls in Garforth.

Frost, who was living in Garforth at the time of the incidents, assaulted a 16-year-old girl at a bus stop on February 15, 2022, by grabbing her bottom. He was later identified by the victim during a police lineup.

On May 27, 2022, Frost approached a 13-year-old schoolgirl at another bus stop and put his hand up her skirt. He was stopped by police shortly after but was not arrested, with officers citing a "bizarre account" from Frost.

It wasn't until June 6, 2022, when police visited Frost's home due to concerns about his self-harm, that he was arrested. A search of his home uncovered a partially functional double-barrel shotgun, leading to further charges.

During his arrest, Frost was described as "troublesome," kicking and biting officers, resulting in two charges of assaulting emergency workers.

Frost pleaded guilty to sexual assault, sexual activity with a child, possession of a firearm, assaulting emergency workers, breaching a sexual harm prevention order, and failing to notify police of his address.

Judge Simon Batiste, sentencing Frost at Leeds Crown Court, highlighted his extensive history of sexual offenses and the significant risk he poses to society. He deemed an extended prison sentence necessary to protect the public.

Frost's defense attorney, Charlotte Noddings, argued that his crimes were a result of losing his job during the pandemic and subsequent spiral into drug use. She claimed he recognized the wrongfulness of his actions and expressed remorse.
