Saqib Khan Jailed for Sexually Assaulting Child in Huddersfield Home Invasion
Saqib Khan, a 40-year-old resident of Hanson Lane in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for sexually assaulting a child under the age of ten.
The incident occurred on April 20th when Khan broke into a family home and entered the child's bedroom. The victim’s relatives heard a disturbance but were unable to enter the room. The child’s father contacted emergency services, and two passing police officers assisted in apprehending Khan. He was swiftly charged with sexual assault.
Khan was found guilty of sexual assault at a trial in October and sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on November 21st. Upon his release from prison, he will be required to register as a sex offender for life and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This order imposes strict conditions on Khan's behavior and any breach could result in immediate arrest and prosecution.
