48-year-old Man Jailed for Child Sexual Abuse Offenses

Sean Begley, of Monsdale Road in Bristol, has been sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison for committing sexual abuse offenses against a child.

Begley admitted to ten offenses, including sexual assault of a child and making indecent images of children. He was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, June 25th.

In addition to his prison sentence, Begley will have to register as a Sex Offender for the rest of his life and is also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The victim first disclosed the abuse in April 2024, which was then reported to the police.

In a victim impact statement, a family member speaking on behalf of the victim said the trauma would be with her "for the rest of her life" and they "can never forgive him for that."
