Simon Austin, 43, to Appear in Court on Child Pornography Charges

Simon Austin, previously known as Simon Austin Hamilton, is scheduled to appear in Worthing Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 30th. Austin, currently residing in Vadel Ayre, North Roe, Shetland, is facing 20 charges related to child pornography and outraging public decency.

The charges, authorized by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), stem from a two-and-a-half-year investigation by the Paedophile On-Line Investigation Team (POLIT) of Sussex Police.

Austin is accused of 12 offenses of making indecent videos and images of children from the internet between 2007 and 2009. He also faces seven charges of outraging public decency by covertly filming indecent videos of women on the London tube network in 2008 and 2009.

Additionally, Austin is charged with one offense of refusing to disclose his computer password in May 2012.

At the time of the alleged offenses, Austin was living in Rustington. A police spokesman emphasized that the indecent videos of children do not involve any youngsters from the area.
