Man Jailed for 14 Years for Sexually Assaulting Child

Stephen Harrison, 40, of Barrington Road, Salisbury, was sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court on Tuesday after admitting to multiple counts of sexual assault on a child under 13 and attempted rape.

The offenses occurred between 2015 and 2020, according to the court.

Det Con Dawn Rowan of Wiltshire Police stated, "Firstly, I would like to commend the victim in this case for her remarkable bravery and courage in reporting this to the police. Her actions have ensured that this dangerous individual is behind bars."

"Harrison has shown little remorse for his despicable actions. He continued to lie throughout numerous police interviews before eventually pleading guilty in court. We are relieved to have secured this conviction and see Harrison sentenced."
