A "Manipulative" Sex Offender Jailed for Seven Years

Stuart Penny, 52, of Pinewood Close in Salisbury, has been sentenced to seven years and two months in prison for a string of sexual offenses against a 13-year-old girl.

The offenses, which took place between December 2015 and April 2016, included sexual activity with a child under 16, inciting a child to view images of sexual activity, and possession of extreme pornographic images. Penny initially denied the charges but later pleaded guilty at Salisbury Crown Court in December.

Detective Constable Jackie Allen, from Salisbury CID, commended the victim's bravery in coming forward, stating, "I would like to pay tribute to the young victim in this case who has shown immense bravery in speaking to police about the abuse she suffered. Penny is a manipulative sex offender who groomed his victim."

Allen emphasized Wiltshire Police's commitment to bringing such offenders to justice and encouraged anyone who has been the victim of sexual abuse to report it to the police.

Penny's victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was 13 years old at the time of the offenses.
