Ramsgate Man Jailed for Sexual Offenses Against Girls

Victor Walkom, formerly of Dumpton Park Road, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexual offenses against two girls.

Walkom was charged with five counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of causing a child to watch a sexual act. The offenses occurred between 2016 and 2017, when the victims were under the age of 15.

The victims reported the offenses to Kent Police, leading to an investigation by detectives from the Vulnerability Investigation Team.

Walkom denied the charges, but a jury at Canterbury Crown Court found him guilty of all six counts. The 84-year-old was sentenced on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was also placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
