Evil Sex Beast Jailed for Seven Years After Raping 12-Year-Old Girl

A man who raped a 12-year-old girl and then claimed she fabricated the attack has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Warren Gillespie, of Bucksburn, Aberdeen, was found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh. He gave a one-fingered gesture as he was led away in handcuffs.

Gillespie had been left to look after the girl and other children while their mother went out with friends. The girl eventually told her mother about the attack, and police were called.

Gillespie denied the allegations, claiming the victim had made up the story because he had reprimanded her for the state of her room. However, forensic evidence supported the girl's account.

Judge Kenneth Maciver QC described the crime as "the rape of a girl of 12 and a half years of age with accompanying features of significant sexual assault."

The judge acknowledged the significant impact the crime had on the victim and said it was likely to continue for a long time.

Gillespie, a former supermarket worker, admitted to sexually assaulting and raping the girl in September 2014. He was also placed on the sex offenders' register.

Police Scotland Detective Sergeant Barry Stewart welcomed the sentence, stating that Gillespie had targeted a vulnerable young girl and was being held accountable for his actions.

Stewart praised the victim for her courage in coming forward and reporting the attack. He emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

The police urged victims of serious sexual crimes to come forward, regardless of when the crime occurred, assuring them that they will be listened to and their reports thoroughly investigated.

The sentence is hoped to bring closure to the victim and allow her to move on with her life.
